History

The economic survey that led to the organization of the Cordillera Basic Sectors Transport Cooperative (CBSTC) started in September 4, 2017 when the Cordillera Basic Sectors Congress (CBSC), Task Force EO220 and MRRD-NECC-CAR Multi Sectoral Cordillera conducted Barangay and Municipal Consultations, Provincial and Regional Summits in the provinces of Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga and Mountain Province and the Cities of Baguio and Tabuk comprising the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) relative to the reactivation of CAR Bodies namely the Cordillera Executive Board (CEB) which is the development body & Implementing Arm of the Region and the Cordillera Regional Assembly (CRA) which is the policy making body as a mechanism towards the operationalization of the vision of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte for FEDERALISM one among the five pillars of his campaign promise that elected him to the Presidency.

On October 12, 2017, a Regional Consultation and Consolidation Summit to support the reactivation of EO220 was convene by former CEB and DAR Director Jude G. Wal at the Cordillera Homes Saint Francis subdivision in La Trinidad, Benguet. Delegates coming from the provinces of Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga and Mountain Province and the City of Tabuk must have to hire and/or rent vans from their respective origins to the venue in La Trinidad, Benguet.

The need for transport vehicles also happened during the Regional Summit on November 25-26, 2017 held at Windy Hill, Poblacion, La Trinidad, Benguet. Delegates from Bucluc, Daguioman, Boliney, Salapadan, Lagayan and Bangued, Abra and Sadanga, Natonin and Paracelis Mountain Province who arrive first on the 24th must have to hire vans to the venue.

Delegates from Kabugao, Apayao and Tinglayan, Pinukpuk, Tanudan and Tabuk City likewise rented vans and that of delegates from Tinoc, Lagawe, Alfonsolista and Banaue, Ifugao and host Province of Benguet rented their vans to attend the Regional Summit.

The Cordillera Basic Sectors Congress and Task Force EO220 who started their trip from Baguio City must have to rent vans to attend the Provincial Consultations in Tinglayan and Tabuk, Kalinga and in Paracelis and Natonin, Mountain Province on December 2-3, 2017 upon request of the Basic Sectors, Former Rebels and Indigenous Peoples and Tribal Leaders in the area.

On December 6-7 2017, We have to tap Transport Group to bring delegates comprising the Cordillera Basic Sectors Congress, Cordillera Tribal Chieftain, Cordillera Women and Youth, Religious Sector and Former Rebels to the House of Representative and the Senate to present the POSITION PAPER FOR THE REACTIVATION OF THE CAR BODIES on the 6th and the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) on the 7th.
